Cold Front puts Chill on Anglers and Fish | It had all the makings of a big weight tournament to start BDBA's 2008 season. Warming water temps, a steady weather pattern, and pre-spawn fish looking for an easy meal. What took place instead was a strong cold front that dropped water temps from 62 to 47 degrees during a 2-day period leading up to the tournament. Many BDBA anglers struggled through a long day, chasing bass with a bad case of lock-jaw. A total of 15 anglers out of 26 came to the scales with- out registering a fish, and even the anglers who did find fish were fortunate to do so as no one filled a limit on this day. Still, the fish that were caught were quality in size as the Top finishers registered solid weights for the fish they had. The tough day left many anglers wondering what might have been!

BDBA Donates to Badger 2 Fish Car Restoration | Club members recently made a donation to the Mid Continent Railway Mu- seum who are restoring a 1912 railway car that was once used to transport fish
for stocking lakes and stre- ams. The railway car, known as the Badger #2 Fish Car is the only one remaining of its kind. BDBA members felt it was important to sup- port the preservation of an important piece of Wiscon- sin Fishing History. For more information on the Badger #2 Fish Car, visit the Wisconsin DNR website.
